Baking a Cake

Baking is always mystery for me.
I baked some cookies and it turn out to be a Big giant cookie. Because I did not know the dough will "grow" inside the oven.
I baked some cupcakes and it is so dry and hard. I think I may make mistakes between "tea spoon and table spoon".
I did not like most cakes from supermarket or bakery. I prefer less sweet but rich style cake and I can only find them in Taiwan or California. Well, at least I could not find it in Hawaii yet.
I started my baking with Meiying's help. (She learned from grandma) So, she took out grandma’s book (how to cook every thing) and asked me to follow it.
I did. Meiying also direct me what to do and not to do. She is a good baker. We made the frosting, too.
Whoa!!!! It does look like a cake. It tastes like one, too.
Meiying and Alexander loved it and finished it in few days.
Now, I will start to make more cakes.... maybe I will be able to make one that is as good as Shen-chee bakery’s. (A famous Taiwanese Bakery in Bay area)
Before this happen, Meiying and I will continue our fun baking in our kitchen. Alexander will continue his help to clean the cake dough by his excellent licking skills.

Haha, I read this blog last night. It is very funny. Love it. (Hi, Meiying, good to see you here.) xoxo!

Meiying might grow up to be a better cook than you, Ufen. That cake looks so good!

I didn't bake anything for a long time since my oven is not working anymore, more than half year.
